Netflix has officially partnered with the PS3 to stream movies and TV shows.

It's apparently exactly like how the Xbox 360 uses the movie service. Here is the link to the news story. Like the Xbox, you will need a paid Netflix subscription. It will launch "next" month, which I hope means November. The big difference is that PS3 users will have to use a disc to stream movies.

Oh, this is where all the PS3 owners get excited, after first saying that Netflix on the Xbox was stupid or useless. Read more to find out about getting the disc.

According to the Epic Games forums, the "Title Update 5" release for Gears of War 2, coming Monday, will bring with it a Halloween double XP weekend. The event is titled "All Hollows Eve" and it will start the morning of October 30th and end November 2nd.

Epic thought it would be cool to adjust the Horde Mode a bit to make it "scary". Here is a quote from Rod Fergusson on details.

You should by now have seen the "leaked" image of the Best Buy sale that gives you a game free if you buy two. It's much like the Toys R Us and Amazon sales.

Unlike those, though, I actually have two games to buy this week. So I'll probably adjust my Gamestop pre-orders and get Forza 3 and Ratchet & Clank from Best Buy. That third title will be a game-time decision but it's looking like Borderlands.

Microsoft's Major Nelson has tweeted that Halo fans that qualify for the next NXE update beta, will have a chance to experience Halo Waypoint. For those who don't qualify at this time will have to wait till Halo Waypoint itself officially launches November 5th 2009. Along with the Halo Waypoint access, this NXE preview will include Twitter, Facebook, Last.fm, and Zune Video Marketplace.
