a game mode, where one team plays as the mutants from the end of uncharted 1 and the other team plays as, well, humans, and the human team have to escape a place guarded by the mutants. The human team would win if at least half of their team reaches the "safe zone" and the mutant team wins if they kill the majority. It would be a great game mode in my opinion and add so much more replay value. I'd love to be in this beta as uncharted is one of my favourite ps3 games, I played it over and over until I got all the medal points and unlocked everything

-A few cool game modes would be something insteresting like a hostage type capture game. One team has to succesfully capture another opposing player, and keep him from being rescued for a certian amount of time. When i say capture, i mean like weaken him and chose from different methods of avaible to capture him,(steel cage, tie him to a mountain, hang him off a cliff).
- Another game mode could be a scavenger hunt like mode where the players are given clues to find a certian treasure object in a level. The will be searching for little clues throught the level until they find enough evidence to make a good guess where the treasure is. The clues will be written on the walls, or on top of ceilings or maybe items on the ground. There should be doors and keys involved and puzzles to prevent players from randomly following each other.
-Another game mode could be something like a race where there are tons of boobie traps and obstacles and all that good stuff. The players race to get to the destination.
-Character custimization should be top of the line, players should unlock clothing by unlocking certain trophys or getting to certain levels in the game, and also finding the clothing in the game. I think if this feature exists, your pirate/SWAT team army dude/watever other characters should be extremely unique. Not only can you alter their clothing, but you can make it like dirty clothes, clean, ripped striped, etc. Maybe even throw in some jewlry or something that you unlocked in a side mission(yes there should be side missions in the game.)
-In game music, this is basically the ability to play your own songs while online. Im pretty sure Naughty Dog can make this happen.
-DLC, how about clothes, side missions, story mode add-ons, new game modes and other stuff. There should also be like a holiday type thing where if you like get a certian number of kills on halloween you unlock a pumpkin head and christmas possibly a santa clause hat.
-Split Screen co-op-I dont know if this is already there, i head co op is in the beta but if not, naughty dog sould make it happen with your friend able to choose clothing that he/she likes.
-Last but not least, custimizable maps, crazy i know, but whenever game offers custimization, it fares well. Players should be able to make thier own landscapes, and buildings and stuff, make it night time, morning, all that stuff. I dunno if its possible but if not, Naughty Dog can create new maps and use them in DLC.
Well that's it, i tried hard and may my good thoughts earn me a beta code. Ive been trying forever to get in the beta. I followed game sites on twitter for hours to see if they were distributing codes. Bye!

We'll one thing im a fan of the abilty to make your own maps!! That would be so AWSOME!!
Not many games allow you to make your own maps !! But to name a couple, Far Cry, Little Big Planet!!
That would make for ENDLESS maps!! On online Co-Op, if i was to pick up a treasure , it should count
for my friend as well!! And another thing i should be able to do is earn story line trophies ONLINE in CO-OP!!!
How cool would that be!! I never seen a game that has co-op and story line trophies LINKED together like that!!
I just wanted to thanx everyone for chance to spread some ideas!!!!!

What would make the Uncharted 2 online experience the best out there? While no 1 answer is the correct answer, the answer would actually be a cumulative answer based on 1 game play mechanic that is changed. JUST 1. It would be removing the red or blue tags from above the players head showing their names.
- Why Haskell, that would su$#, then you wouldn't see the enemy or know where he was, that's fu#$ing stupid! EXACTLY!. Well Exactly to the 1st part and as usual, no one thinks AHEAD or can "see" the future.. except me of course
Game are getting more realistic, and the current state of Online play HAS NOT changed since the 1st SOCOM came out on the PS2. And we all remember how that was the 1st time we played it. Yes over the years and the hundreds of games out there, they MAY be a tweak or 2, but that is it. Well ENOUGH with that BS, let's get serious finally. In order to improve upon the current online Multi Player process and to make it the best possible game, the answer is ALWAYS in front of your face, but for some reason, your blind as a friggan bat. As everyone has seen, in any movie where there is a gunfight between a group of people, do you see red markers above their head saying "Wyatt Earp" for example. Hell no!
Too TRULY make thee best Online MP, we would have for example, the teams of 16 vs 16 with NO icons, or name tags above, next too, or up their rear end signifying who the enemy is, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, WHERE they are. You have a player locking on, and nailing everyone at will, it's horsesh!t. Example: You come out from behind a truck, and you look around, then all of a sudden, you see a enemy run across the street with his red name tag showing who, and where he is..so you lock on, and fire away and he's dead, or you run after him, lock on again and he's dead.
Now, take that same scenario, and you come out from behind the truck, your looking around, and you see see "someone", or "something" run across the street. Was it your team mate? The enemy? Well you gotta go investigate, so you walk ahead, then go around the corner. It's kinda dark, but you can still see pretty good. You walk by and next thing you know, your getting your throat slit, or shot in the back be the enemy AND your dead! Now if you had the name tags on everyone, as soon as yo turn the corner, WHAMMO, There he is, red name tag giving away his position. BS..
By removing ALL the name tags on your enemies, now stealth game play becomes VITAL. Oh, there is no more running and gunning around corners, or firing like crazy after your locked on to someone. By removing the tags, it makes stealth that much more realistic and vital, it makes your communication between your teammates that much MORE important. Having a teammate up in a high position for example, talking into his mic telling Haskell420 that you saw some movement over by the lumber yard, go check it out... WAIT A MINUTE! Haskell, GOT HIM...he's about 50 feet in front of you, left hand side, behind the wood chipper..go stealth creep up behind him and nail his a$$. So I go stealthily making my way closer to him, when the lookout says "Haskell..hang back a second..someone is moving towards your direction, take cover for a minute...he's getting closer...closer....he's turning left.. the other guy is still by the wood chipper, go get him and make it slient and quick so you don't draw that other guy back......"
Well, there it is, That is MY IDEA, and I hope it is good enough to win.. i thnk it is of course! And I hope it iis THEE next big thing for Online MP, and it would be pretty friggan awesome if it came out the way I described. I thank you for the chance to win a code, and oh, can you imagine my idea, and add in the SCARE Factor of someone jumping out at you in a night scene.. oooooooooh I LOVE IT!
THANKS

- Private voice chat to your friends/party.
- Custom game creation!
- Ability to add friends to PSN within the game itself
- User created maps? (Though this I believe to be fairly impractical as a last minute addon)

- By adding stone cherub statues around the map that, when obtained, could be held over the corpses of your enemies to urinate on them
- A soccer mode where you could have teams behind cover shooting a giant soccer ball to try and push it across the goal line.

What would make the Uncharted 2 online experience the best out there?
Since I haven't got a beta code yet, I don't know what the Uncharted 2 beta is like. Based on my experience with several other shooter games, I feel that I want to be able to have MORE connection and interaction with other live players. Personally, I would like to see and have a better online co-op gaming experience in Uncharted 2. Also, i think multiplayer mode shouldn't be just all about killing each other. That's boring. Since Uncharted has a very good story, might as well bring it to online multiplayer mode. And maybe also consider adding side story and missions that are not in single player mode.

I've had a PS3 for a long time now and I have spent the majority of my time on PS3's online network, PSN. I've also participated in various online beta's before such as the Resistance beta. I play games online a lot. In fact My friend and I spend most of our PS3 time online. Having said that I know EXACTLY what needs to be done to make uncharted 2 have the best online experience:
- Good server connectivity and up-time (no lagging or glitches). It gets really annoying when people are glitchy especially if you cant kill them...(Believe me I know)
-Continued Support and add-ons. People are going to get bored of playing a game after a while unless you introduce a new aspect to the game. Such as new game modes, maps, or weapons. This is what kept me playing Warhawk so long
-Contests. People like to win things and it brings people's interest back to a game
- Large selection of options. Lots of maps, layouts, ect.
- Co-op. Isn't it great to play as a team?
- Ability to invite friends. VERY IMPORTANT. I can't believe they left this feature out in Grid....
- Private Voice chat. It feels good to say something about someone to your friend without that person knowing :p
- Large Player Base.
These are just a few things I think that would make the online good.
written by Sparroo, June 22, 2009
-Customization: People like to look unique. More customization options should unlock as you rank up.
-Ranks, awards, Trophies ect.: Another reason why I played Warhawk for so long was because I was trying to get to the highest possible rank. It takes a long time and keeps you addicted.
- Large Player Support. Servers should be able to host as many people as possible without lagging of course. Other wise it isn't really a "war"....
- Private Servers. For you and friends to mess around.
Okay now I am done. I really enjoyed Uncharted 1 and would greatly appreciate a beta key please

I think a really important aspect to any online gaming experience is that the components of the single player game, if it has a single player portion, translate into a fun online experience, which is not always the case. Human players can and will always take advantage of oversights or exploits in any game of any genre. As I am not in the beta I can only suppose how it works, but in other third person titles, namely Metal Gear Solid 4, players were given a completely free third person camera, which for a stealth action game like MGS4 makes it rather difficult to sneak up behind someone who can see behind themselves... that isn't to say Uncharted 2 will suffer the same fate, as there is far greater freedom, i.e. the climbing and so on and other games have remedied the problem, such as Resident Evil 5 which only allows a camera angle of about plus or minus seventy degrees from center.
So, my number one issue would be to have a camera that feels juuuust right for this particular game and I can only guess for now what the camera will be like in Uncharted 2.
That's it for my submission, thanks.

Mercenaries objectives is quite simple, kill Drake.
Nathan's objective is to steal 1 of 2 (or 3 depending on the size of the map) treasures and bring them back to Sully to win the round. If the player who's Drake wins the round, then he continues to be Drake until he dies.
There should be different spawning points for the treasures, so that the mercenaries don't run to them and wait for Drake. Also, the treasures should only be visible on the map for the player who plays as Drake, further to insure that the mercenaries won't camp.
If there are more than 10 mercenaries in the round, they should break up into 2 teams, fighting eachother and Drake.
To continue I want a great party system for your friends and you to join the same game, join the same team and so on.
Also the option to create my own server with some tweaking of the options would be nice.
Thanks

From what I've read in previews, one of Uncharted 2's greatest set backs is the fact that one of it's greatest strengths (that makes it so unique), where players are able to scale walls and shoot whilst hanging, aren't fully being utilised online due to the franticness of the battles and the difficulty with which it is to scale a surface without being killed. I believe that Naughty Dog could fix this simply by giving players more health, although having not played the game I can't say how much of an effect this would have.
Another problem that I read about was the perk system, which is apparently fairly limited, and isn't related completely with the ranking system. I think it would be a great feature if they made it so that, by defeating enemies and completing objectives (possibly across all game modes, competitive, co-operative and maybe even single player, the amount varying dependent on the difficulty setting), players earned some sort of currency with which perks could be bought. Different perks and characters could be automatically unlocked as the players ranked up, so that people had incentive to rank up. Perks and ranks are what have helped to keep games like Call of Duty 4 alive for so long, and I think that if Uncharted 2 built upon this, adapting the perks to be specific to the games theme would really help push it above other multiplayer experiences. Building upon the point I made earlier, about the difficulty in traversing the verticality of the map, I think that some of the perks should help people to climb more easily (e.g. faster climbing speed/greater armour when clinging onto things, which would hopefully help to kept the focus more on the game's originality.
I've also heard that the game's cover mechanic leaves a lot of people frustrated often attempting to move into cover, only top perform a roll into an enemy or something similar. As Gears of War used a similar 'one button for cover and roll' mechanic, I'm not entirely sure what the problem is, although it could be that it is either over or under sensitive, in which case this is Naughty Dog's opportunity to fix this.

written by King_Bobo, June 23, 2009
That's pretty much all I can think of in terms of fixing the issues that I've heard about, so now I will go onto what I think would make me enjoy the game more, which hasn't necessarily been built into the game.
Personally, my favourite types of games are those that focus on co-operative multiplayer, even if it means working as a team in a competitive game mode. Games like Killzone 2 have really helped to push the multiplayer shooter genre to create games where teams must work together to win, without it being a tactical shooter. Obviously, it's good to include a 'me against the world' game mode, like Deathmatch, but judging from the success of Killzone 2, if Uncharted 2 focused on team play (unlike Call of Duty, which is more about 'every man for himself') it wouldn't have to be compared to other shooters as much. Plunder sounds like a great idea, and I love the way that (from what I understand) players can throw the 'flag' to other players when they die - this encourages team work, as it means that other players should be around when the carrier is running to the capture point. I believe that Naughty Dog should consider devising similar 'team-based' game modes, such as one similar to Warhawks 'collection', although players could attempt to collect different artefacts and then have to sell them to a dealer (possibly who is another player on the team who becomes the dealer by picking up something on the map, who has to stay alive to remain the team's dealer, but has no weapons other than maybe a knife or a pistol). As with Warhawk's 'cores' artefact's point value would increase if more were sold at once, and so it would encourage players to work as a team and co-ordinate the collection so that they could be passed on to a single player, who could sell them. This would be a fun game mode as it would take the best aspects of two very successful game modes - collection and assassination, and combining them in a very successful way.
Another game mode that would focus on Uncharted 2's scaling capabilities could be a 'king-of-the-hill' game mode, whereby players had to climb to the top of a building (and possibly hang from the sides) in order to gain points. It should be that the more players were on there, the more points were gained, or possibly that a member of the team was selected to try and take the building, so the other members would need to protect them. This would be a great game mode, as (especially if the players were to 'hang' on the side of the building) it wouldn't be possible with any other game's multiplayer mechanics.
Fundamentally, I believe that Uncharted 2 is looking to be a fantastic game already, and if they build upon conventions already very successful in the genre and put them into an Uncharted 2 setting (with a twist that wouldn't be possible in any other game) it could be seen to be the next 'big thing' in the multiplayer field.

1- The main characters of the game are very limited (only nathan and the other two girls), even the characters who represent the "bad" side are not "memorable" ones. On the other side, a game like metal gear solid online have many loved and memorable characters that you can play with.
2- Another problem is related to the limited number of weapons used (e.g. no heavy weapons are used, no enough variates of explosives, etc...).
what would give Uncharted 2 the advantage is the awesome graphics that is superior to all the games I have ever seen.
I can't be totally sure about these advantages and disadvantages unless I try the beta, which I'm really longing for. Thank you!

(what would make the Uncharted 2 online experience the best out there)
I haven't played the game so i would have to go on the video's iv'e drooled all over
Uncharted 2 is the greatest online in its genre due to the fact that its the first third person shooter
where the playing field turns 3D, with this i mean obsticles can be climbed and so the
battleground gets a new dimention, which a games like Gears Of War for example ...lack.
The characters are also more manouvereble then in other games, this leaves open the
possibility's for the gamer to express themselfs through the characters unlike any game out there.
Hope i get a fair shot at a code!

THANKS
