Jeff Rubenstein, Social Media Manager at Sony Computer Entertainment America, just leaked some information that he thought had already came out related to the MAG Beta. On his Twitter account he says:
"I'm sure you all saw the news that Qore is the way into the MAG beta. This hands-on time has really won me over."
So there you have it folks. You can guarantee yourself into the MAG Beta by purchasing an annual subscription of Qore before September 17th.
UPDATE: I just saw that they announced it on the PlayStation Blog by saying "Don’t forget that Qore subscribers will have the chance to get in on the MAG Official Public Beta on September 17!

The reason Sony is releasing the MAG Beta for people who use Qore is their sales for Qore are probably low so their using the MAG Beta to promote Qore and if your someone who "has to play MAG!" then you'll most likely subscribe to Qore.

I've been a subscriber to Qore for almost a year now. It's a great digital mag. But the real reason I got it was for all the early content it offers. I've been in the Betas for Socom, Home, Resistance 2, Uncharted 2 and now MAG. Not to mention the 4 free games I've gotten from Qore and some other stuff. And Qore also has it's own casual games built in. Good stuff. Certainly worth $25, since that's pretty much the sub fee for a gaming mag anyway, and those aren't getting me into betas or giving me free games. Qore also gets some good interviews, and they show PS3 versions of cross-platform games that are being spotlighted, but info wise it's usually fairly old news for the informed gamer. But if you want to get into betas and some free PSN games over the course of a year, a subscription to Qore is deffinitely worth it.

I dont really know i mean Qore sucks ass. The only good thing are the betas. But i dont feel like going through ape shit just to get into the MAG beta. Sorry not getting an annual subscription to Qore just for this one beta. Ill rather have the mind blowing finished product instead.

I know alot of people who subscribe get into betas all the time so to me its worth it. Dont just look at it like "man 25 bucks to get the mag beta" think of all the other betas and psn youll get into. Maybe a early demo of GOW3?

If they want more subscribers then maybe pulling there fingers out ther ar**s and offer Qore to the EU! I spent 2 hours looking for it on the EU PSN to find it not their! I would be more than happy to subscribe if the damn thing was offered to me in the UK!

QORE sales are probably low, I didn't mind QORE until the first minute when I realized I had to go through ADVERTISEMENTS on the free QORE episodes I got from redeeming the Playstation magazine codes. Even if the episodes were free this was a poor way to advertise QORE I never bothered to subscribe because I was worried that the real QORE would be riddled with ADs also.
The other thing QORE needs to do once September 17th passes by and not enough sales are made is get Veronica into skimpier outfits. She has the face, and the body that gamers can appreciate while hearing about upcoming releases so lets get the look changed to something more appealing.
And here is an idea at the end of QORE they should have Veronica Belmont and Christina Lee playing against each other in a PS3 game. Now thats a concept. Sex sells, get with it Sony.

Getting this qore membership for 24.99 is worth it. Not just getting a MAG beta, but free games from psn. Qore is a hot video magazine that rewards you for subscribing like codes to get ps1 games for free, and other things.
It is, some of my friends have qore and they got rewarded a lot. They got in to so many beta's. Do it. It's worth it.

I watch it over and over to find out what to do... and there was nothing said about having to pay for that core account that was a vary missleading thing they did on that show CORE that I saw thattold me to do this little bit of work and I'll be play in no time.. thats a lie... you have to "pay" so like.. you could of put it out on a CD to the people who PRE got the game already ... like no way I'm going to spend anymore money for a game that I already have paid for and now I'm tickled a little when they are going to push it back.. now its like I lost my money... least give me a sneek peek that wouldnt be so bad ciao

if you haven't subscribed to Qore already, you must not think it is worth it or you would have signed up already. so, you are simply paying 25.00 for a beta. that is about the biggest waste of money i can think of. call of duty modern warfare 2 will be out in two months and everyone will be on that game ... so why not put the 25.00 towards that ... or even operation flashpoint 2. why would any idiot pay 25.00 for a beta? that's nearly half the price of a new game. who cares about the stupid games you get with Qore, I wouldn't buy them anyways.
