TGA GameKraft GameKast Episode 124: Aaron is not Dead!

TGA GameKraft GameKast

We could not remember the last time we recorded a GameKast without checking, but it felt like forever. Former TGA staff member Aaron joined us for part of this episode, and it was awesome. So, we brought forth our usual topics (games we played, news, random stuff), talked about Heroes of the Storm’s place in MOBA games, and someone got far too distracted on the job…

TGA GameKraft GameKast Episode 123: Vita with Dreamcast Loyalty?

TGA GameKraft GameKast

Bronson is a Denver Broncos fan, and in the aftermath of the Super Bowl, he had to give his thoughts on what is going to happen next. Apple has sold record numbers of iPhones and iPads (again), and has become one of the brands of the generation. We actually got a little more optimistic about the Wii U’s future; it has some games to get hyped about. The Vita also has a few games to get hyped about, but being extremely under the radar, we wondered if it will be like the Dreamcast and GameCube: well-loved systems that just didn’t get the sales. We also answered questions regarding what system felt most “next-gen” for us, as well as best console values we have experienced.

TGA GameKraft GameKast Episode 122: Compete with Free

TGA GameKraft GameKast

Well, we managed to deliver four hours of GameKast experience for this colossal episode. Bronson’s Seattle friend Emily joined us. Bronson and Emily recapped some of their experiences in previous PAX Prime conventions. We discussed an efficient method of combating piracy, dived into some useless gaming zodiacs, talked again about Microsoft’s Youtube bribes and Nintendo’s financial issues, and we name some of the best JRPG soundtracks we have ever heard.

TGA GameKraft GameKast Episode 121: Get Hyped for 2014

TGA GameKraft GameKast

Well, we forgot to post this episode, so it is now just over a week old at time of this posting. We discussed more about Zelda: Wind Waker HD, and gave our most anticipated games of the year (at the time).

TGA GameKraft GameKast Episode 120: The Holidays with Some Annoyance

TGA GameKraft GameKast

It is the holiday season, but we were not exactly in the best cheerful state. With a Sunday Night Football game performance irritating one person and the YouTube controversy of a bot wrongly removing videos, we had some recent annoyances. Thankfully, some good things came in, including a somewhat lengthy list of games for those who have not adopted PS4s or Xbox Ones, and some new interesting indie titles.

TGA GameKraft GameKast Episode 119: Forget VGX

TGA GameKraft GameKast

We originally were recording this episode of the GameKast to mock this year’s Spike TV Video Game Awards, thinking that it will be another glorified light show and party festival. Well, the first thing is that it was called VGX this year. The second thing was that it rivals the Xbox One reveal event as one of the worst gaming shows we have witnessed this year. How bad was it? Well, we stuck around for all three hours, and recorded our reactions and thoughts.

TGA GameKraft GameKast Episode 118: Eight Years of Previous-Gen Memories

TGA GameKraft GameKast

On the day we recorded this episode, it was the night before the PlayStation 4 was to be launched. Discussing the next-gen features, a debate was started as to whether the new gaming consoles will be able to multitask heavily without compromising performance several years down the road. A significant part of this episode was our reflection of our experiences with the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Wii over the past eight years. Turned out, we had a massive amount to say.

TGA GameKraft GameKast Episode 117: Can’t Focus on Podcast!

TGA GameKraft GameKast

Bronson was playing an online Madden football match while we recorded in the first half-hour, and had some difficulty trying to talk for more than five minutes without skewing back into what was on the television screen. So, we talked about the games we have been playing, some news (what little there is), and some random bits found on the Internet.

TGA GameKraft GameKast Episode 116: The Cave-In for Wii U Will Happen

TGA GameKraft GameKast

We were happy to record the GameKast again after a three week haitus, and we played a lot of games since our last episode. With PAX happening the next morning at the time of recording, we tried to combat PAX withdrawal, with not much success. The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker Wii U bundle also made our compulsive urges go insane.

TGA GameKraft GameKast Episode 115: Cell Your Home

TGA GameKraft GameKast

Assassin’s Creed 4 with the pirate theme has the potential to be awesome, but we noted that Assassin’s Creed 3 had similar amounts of potential and was quite mediocre. We discussed quite a bit about PlayStation hardware, specifically the vision of having a Cell Processor-enabled home, and how the PlayStation Portable had a chance to be a legitimate competitor to the iPod of the time. The Last of Us continued to impress, and we give the UMD movie distribution a good bashing.
